Junior Assault Course: 27th June (7 - 15 years only, strictly no Adults/spectators allowed on this course) *Parents and spectators may follow the course route.
Our courses are designed by Royal Marine Commandos, with the aim of creating the most amazing fun and challenging experience for all abilities.
Join forces with your friends and take on more than 25 Heroic Obstacles, over an 8km mission (Junior 3km Approximately 20 obstacles) through Preston's stunning Avenham Park and along the mighty River Ribble! The Hero ethos is all about Selflessness, Positivity and Team Work....So prepare and start training ready to take on this Action Packed Mission!
You will fly down a 50M Water Slide, Scale Spidey's 40 Meter Mega Net, negotiate the Legendary Bog Of Doom and scale our 8ft high Hero Walls....amongst many more Awesome Obstacles!

Refunds/Transfers/Instalments
Refunds
It is not possible for us to assess each injury or personal circumstance on a case by case basis and therefore we do not give refunds when participants are injured or cannot take part. We recognise that things happen to disrupt plans, so we do offer the option of exchanging your entry for 'Transfer Credits' (less a £10 fee), which you can then use to enter someone else, or another of our events.
Transfers
- You may exchange your entry for a Credit at a cost of £5.00 until 13/06/2020.
- You will have 12 months (from the date of the event) to spend your credit. You may also use your credit to enter someone else.

You can manage your entries in the My Entries section of your Racer Dashboard.
Instalment Plan
- You may pay in equal instalments up to a either a maximum set by the organizer or monthly up to one month before the event, whichever is less.
- There is an additional fee of 1% + £0.50 (inc VAT) for each instalment.
- You are responsible for ensuring payments are made, missing payments may mean removal from the event and loss of any monies paid to date.

Unfortunately, due to a change in circumstances Hero Assault Course will not be returning to Avenham Park, Preston this year.

However,...After an intensive search of the North West we are excited to share with you an amazing new Born Survivor (The Ultimate Military Obstacle Course) venue set within the stunning rolling Lancashire hills of Dockber Farm near Sawley Abbey!
This is a stunning venue set in the Ribble Valley and we will still welcome the sight of your Heroic costumes and look forward to seeing you fly around our Commando inspired course!
Firstly, we would like to say a huge thank you to all our Heroes for your loyalty and understanding over the past 2 years…It’s truly appreciated!

As a thank you for your loyalty & patience we are offering all adults the chance to transfer your ticket over to Born Survivor Gisburn, Lancashire free of charge! (Standard Born Survivor tickets prices are double the price of Hero Assault Course)
Our gratitude runs deeper than the Bog Of Doom and we can't wait to see you on our brand new course ready to tackle rivers, slides, nets, walls and mud galore!
For those of you that have become hardened fans of our Heroic course and ethos, please be assured that nothing has changed here! Born Survivor is more than equal to this…just on a larger scale but with the same attention to detail and community feel running through our heart beat.
To transfer your entry over to our Battle For Gisburn event and earn your medal, please email support@born-survivor.com stating your full name & email.
If you can NOT make the new date/venue, you have 2 further options:
1. Your ticket will be valid for any future Born Survivor Event until 01/11/23. To claim your entry to a future event, you MUST email support@born-survivor.com stating your full name and the event you originally entered. You will then receive a confirmation email giving you a code to use for your preferred future event date.
2. Alternatively, you can request a refund for your place. All refunds will be transferred back to the original payment method only, (booking fee not included). You MUST email support@born-survivor.com stating your full name and email address then your refund can be processed. All refund requests need to be emailed over before 01.07.2022. No refunds will be offered after this date.
2022 will be amazing and entry will include new obstacles, bespoke SWAG; medals, head buff and t-shirt and a choice of courses including 5/10K distances and the chip timed competitive Elite Squadron with prizes donated by our course sponsors Sportsshoes.com & Scott Sports.
Our buzzing event village will offer fantastic food, ale and local gin to enjoy, whilst live music will be filling the airwaves alongside activities for children.
Please note - Junior Courses 7-14 years are currently in the planning phase and will return in the future.
Our ticket site is now open so rally the troops, it’s now time to build your biggest and best team to date and start preparing for your muddy glory.

The Situation:
Due to the continuously changing picture of COVID-19, Hero HQ are extremely sad to inform you that we have been left with no realistic option but to postpone Hero Assault Course Preston, Avenham Park 27th June 2020.
The Hero Assault Course team have agreed that due to the large concentration of people expected including participants, spectators and event staff; the only viable safe alternative is to postpone the much loved and Heroic Hero Assault Course Preston at Avenham Park 27th June.
Our Message To The Heroes:
We understand that our decision will be met with sadness, and we share this feeling of utter disappointment as our small team have worked tirelessly in the planning and improvement since last July's heroic event in Preston. However we must now fly together to keep our country safe....by protecting those most at risk.
Please be assured that you will have your day as a Hero and will experience a taste of victory like no other!
What Next:
We understand that you may have questions in regards to the details of what happens next. We appeal for your patience and understanding whilst we assess the ever changing COVID-19 picture and consult with our course venue and support team.
Please refrain from contacting us by email and social messenger as we work to implement our contingency planning. Your ticket will be automatically transferred over to the new date automatically. 💪 We will follow up with further event instructions and a new event date as soon as we possible can.
